SOLD ??
I was just told the other day by my Realtor that I have an offer on my home. It has been for sale for about a year now. Most people would be happy to have an offer on their home, I particularly am not. Why? There are two reasons why. First, the offer is no where near what I owe currently on the home. I am sure that I am not the only one dealing with this. The housing market has been horrible for a long time and the outlook is not so great either. Back in the day when I was a Realtor, things were so different. I am glad that I am not a Realtor now. I was not really good at lying to get a sale, so I did not enjoy it at all. I feel that all Realtors are basically dishonest sales people trying to make money. If you can bull shit, then you will sell real estate. What really makes me laugh are the students that are taking the classes to prepare for the exam are all excited that so many agencies want them to work for them. Talk about naïve. Of course they all want you to work for them, because hopefully you will make them money if you sell. These types are the ones that will not do well at all. LOL. That always cracked me up.
Second, I have only been living there for about three years, but I have become a bit attached to the house. It is a very large home, about 2600 square feet. A lot for me to clean and maintain. I am not looking forward to moving heavy furniture and packing. I am not moving far at all, so I am thankful that the kids will still be able to stay in the same school and be close to the friends that they have made. So, out with the old, and in with the new.
I was asked if I was going to move into the city, to be closer to someone close to me. I would, but the Chicago schools are horrible compared to the schools out here in Joliet/Plainfield. I am sorry, Superman, I would love to move closer to you, but when you retire in a few years, you can move closer to me. There are plenty of farm houses here with wrap around porches for you. And when you do, we can get that porch swing you love so much!

If I move out there, can you get me season tickets to the Joliet Jackhammers?
I cannot personally, but I can see what I can do. =)
